| The Mahurangi Zone Campsite, Camp Maynard, is situated in Albany on the North Shore of Auckland and some 15 minutes drive from the Auckland City CBD. The site, 25 acres of regenerating Native Bush including kauri, is ideal for the "Training and Recreational pursuits" of all organisations.
An outdoor camping area, with cooking
sites, water and toilets, capable of supporting a tented camp of 120 persons,
and internal accommodation for up to 59 people with kitchen, lounge, training
/ meeting rooms and dining room make this an ideal site for just about
any group. |

| A lot of work has been done, and more is planned, to ensure that visiting Scouts, Guides or other organisations are kept fully occupied on activities such as the Flora Identification trail, 4 stage Mapping and Compass project and Confidence course. An outdoor chapel, set amongst a stand of native trees, and campfire circle are also within the site. The Campsite is constantly undergoing upgrading and if you have visited in the past it is well worth another visit now. A recent addition to the site is a "Memorial" to Joan and Les Maynard which surrounds the Flag pole area. CLICK FORE MORE PICTURES AND INFO For Bookings and Enquiries: |
